Experience
At McMaster I worked as a Teaching Assistant for a number of courses within the Faculty of Engineering, including working as a Head TA for the first-year programming course. The section I ran the course for was intended for students who had previously failed the course or dropped out, meaning that I needed to present the material in a different manner if these students were to succeed. I understand that students learn in a variety of different ways, and I truly believe that learning how to learn early on can help students succeed. It wasn't until second year that I discovered my learning style, a fact that is clearly reflected in my grades. I have struggled through courses before and I understand the importance of having a passionate, patient, and caring tutor. In addition to being a student, I had many great opportunities at McMaster. I worked as a Research Assistant at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center for a summer, I was the Electrical Team Lead for the McMaster Interdisciplinary Satellite Team for 3 years, and was heavily involved in student politics.

Hobbies
Outside of school, I thoroughly enjoy playing music and received a SHSM in Arts and Culture in High School. I majored in music performance with guitar and oboe being my instruments of choice. I also enjoy playing hockey and golf, which I have been doing since I was young. I also recently have come to enjoy spending more time outdoors hiking and kayaking.
